Revolutionary biodegradable pee bags from Releaf Ltd.

This sorry scene will hopefully be a thing of the past before long. The RELEAF bag – the innovative biodegradable paper pee bag invented by Indian entrepreneur Siddhant “Sid” Tawarawala – will hit the UK market this summer.

“People were sceptical at first about pocket-size pee bags which is not surprising. After all, peeing into a paper bag is not the most obvious way of putting a smile back on your face, but it really does work.”

Feedback from Indian customers has been very encouraging. “People were sceptical at first about pocket-size pee bags which is not surprising. After all, peeing into a paper bag is not the most obvious way of putting a smile back on your face, but it really does work”, says Sid. “They didn’t believe that the bags would be easy to use or that they wouldn’t leak. Once they tried them they were converted. We’re really looking forward to working with Keith to introduce Releaf bags to the UK market.

Sid and Keith Binding, whose passion is helping sustainable innovations get to market, have been working together on the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Leaders In Innovation Programme to build on Sid’s initial success. Keith will be leading the charge in the UK and Europe. “‘You’ve got to be kidding!‘ was my initial reaction when I first heard about Sid’s innovation, but now I’m sold on the idea. I can’t wait to get cracking on launching RELEAF over here. I think UK and European consumers are going to love them if initial reactions from testers are anything to go by.”
